Association History
Our Story, Our Mission
Built on vision, strengthened by community.
In 2024, the founding members of the Northlake Police Association came together with a shared vision: to unite the uniformed members of the Northlake Police Department under a common goal — improvement. Our mission was to create a cohesive, forward-thinking organization that works in collaboration with city leaders and police administration, striving to strengthen the department not only for today but for the challenges of tomorrow.
The idea began to take shape through conversations, informal meetings, dinners, and impromptu discussions in parking lots — the way many police associations are born. These early brainstorming sessions laid the groundwork for what the Northlake Police Association has become.
With guidance from the Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA), we followed the proper procedures to formally establish our organization. Leadership positions were nominated and filled, and today, 3 out of the 4 original officers continue to serve in their roles, having been re-elected by our membership.
Our foundation is built on commitment, collaboration, and the collective desire to make meaningful progress — for our officers, our department, and the community we serve.
